Manual Machining (Turning & Milling)

In addition to our CNC capabilities, VJ Goodall’s also has a vast array of both manual milling machines and manual lathes.

Whilst still guaranteeing dimensional accuracy and overall quality our manual machining facilities allow for greater production flexibility, resulting in a more cost-effective and time-saving alternative, suitable for small batch production or one-off bespoke items.

Furthermore, due to our involvement in the ceramics industry, VJ Goodall’s has serval oval turning and copy turning machines, suitable for producing various tooling used in ceramic pottery manufacturing.

Manual machining capabilities include:

• 18 manual lathes giving up to 130mm diameter in gap, 630mm over bed x 2000 between centers.
• Hydraulic copy turning, taper turning, hard turning and tool post grinding.
• 2 oval turning lathes giving round to 150mm difference in major and minor axis to 760mm.
• 10 manual milling machines with horizontal and vertical spindles with up to 1200mm x 560mm x 665mm of traverse.
